Golden Rainbow Presents Dining Out For Life at Salud on August 26
LAS VEGAS (Aug. 3, 2021) - Golden Rainbow will partner with Salud Mexican Bistro and Tequileria for the next edition of the “Dining Out For Life” series on Thursday, Aug. 26 from 5-9 p.m. A generous percentage of sales will benefit Golden Rainbow to provide critically needed services, including housing, education, wellness and direct financial assistance to men, women and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Home of Las Vegas’s best margaritas and purveyor of modern dining with a Mexican twist, Salud is a family-owned bistro offering both familiar and unique tequilas and mezcals, along with an extensive menu. House favorites include bone-in short ribs, pork belly chicharron, salmon guajillo, duck carnitas and crab and shrimp relleno, along with traditional fajitas, enchiladas, burritos and tacos.
The evening will also feature entertainment from Sal Santiago, a one man band with an extensive catalog of music from all genres, such as old school R&B, pop, latin, classic rock, smooth jazz, reggae, country and more.

Golden Rainbow® is a non-profit organization co-founded in 1987 by Bree Burgess and Peter Todd to provide housing and financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.
The organization was established by members of the Las Vegas entertainment industry who saw the need to provide housing for people with AIDS when one of their fellow performers wasforced to live and eventually die in his family’s garage. Motivated by their cast mates and friends suddenly becoming ill and dying in record numbers, show performers from all over the Strip organized a benefit show to raise funds to provide shelter for those in most need. Originally called "Golden Rainbow,” the show premiered on July 11, 1987, in the Ziegfeld Theatre at Bally's, and is now known as the "Ribbon of Life®” that remains one of the largest and most successful HIV/AIDS annual fundraisers in Nevada.
