REQUEST FOR A FREE HIV SELF-TEST. KNOW YOUR STATUS
Golden Rainbow strives to keep the community informed about HIV/AIDS education and now with FREE HIV self-tests. Get a test for yourself and one to share with a friend or partner. Everyone should know their status regardless of the diagnosis.
We have teamed up with a national program “Together TakeMeHome,” that will allow you to request free HIV self-tests by mail to residents of all 50 states and Puerto Rico who enroll through the program’s website (https://together.takemehome.org). These HIV self-tests are FDA-approved OraQuick devices (OraSure Technologies, Inc.) that use mouth swabs and take only 20-minutes to get a result. These HIV self-tests are delivered unmarked and confidential to your choice of a mailing address.
Visitors to the Together TakeMeHome website will also find information and resources on using the self-test, what to do based on the self-test result, and how to access other services related to HIV prevention and care, and overall sexual health. Trained staff will be available to provide referrals to HIV prevention and care services, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
